Floral sensuality meets transience. In an atmosphere carried by melancholy, these dark, poetic works radiate calm, dignity and wisdom. A dying nature keeps its secrets and shows itself in impressive beauty. Stylistically, I took up the baroque „vanitas motif” as well as the „chiaroscuro” with its strong light-dark contrasts, and also drew inspiration from the still life paintings of the 17th century in these works.
Florale Sinnlichkeit trifft auf Vergänglichkeit – in einer Atmosphäre getragen von Melancholie strahlen diese dunklen, poetischen Arbeiten Ruhe, Würde und Weisheit aus. Die sterbende Natur bewahrt sich ihre Geheimnisse und zeigt sich in beeindruckender Schönheit. Ich habe in diesen Arbeiten stilistisch das barocke Vanitas-Motiv sowie das Chiaroscuro mit seinen starken Hell-Dunkel Kontrasten und die Stilllebenmalerei des 17. Jahrhunderts aufgegriffen.
